We are excited to introduce you to DES VOIGNE CELLARS from Woodinville. 2006 SOLEA - Red Mountain Red Wine - Price: $30.99 - 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc from Kiona Vineyard and aged 18 months in French oak, Solea is a classic Washington Boardeaux-style blend. Black cherry, chocolate, vanilla, roasted coffee and black pepper aromas fill the nose wth a solid continuity of flavors and an elegant finish. Suggested pairing - Miles Davis, "'Round About Midnight" - 126 cases prodced

2006 MONTREUX - Red Mountain Syrah - Price: $30.99 - Kiona Vineyard Syrah is blended with 2% Kiona Vineyard Cabernet then aged in 18 months in Amercan oak. Loaded with notes of smoke and spices and flavors of blackberries, boysenberry syrup and hints of licorice. A bold, structred wine. Suggested pairing - Les McCann & Eddie Harris, "Swiss Movement" - 180 cases prodced

2006 THE EMCEE - Walla Walla Valley Merlot - Price: $28.99 - Pepperbridge Vineyard Merlot is blended with 4% Kiona Vineyard Cabernet for aromas of sweet red currants and wld berries wth bright flavors of cherries and sasparilla. 18 months in new French oak lends tannins that are well integrated into the firm yet ripe backbone. Suggested pairing - Lee Morgan, "Search for the New Land" - 147 cases prodced

2006 SAN REMO - Columbia Valley Sangiovese - Price: $26.99 - Rated "Outstanding" - Wine Press Northwest. The 2006 San Remo is a combination of Ciel du Cheval and Candy Mountan Vineyards aged 14 months in once used French oak. Nicely balanced, medium bodied and classically Sangiovese. Lush with raspberries, red cherries and pumpkin pie spices and a trace of dusty earthiness. Suggested pairing - Chet Baker, "The Italian Sessions" - 225 cases produced

2006 THE DUKE - Columbia Valley Zinfandel Blend - Price: $26.99 -The 2006 Duke is a wilder blend than the 2005, combining Zinfandel, Petit Sirah, Lemberger, Merlot and Syrah. Dominated by blackberries, black cherries and freshly cracked pepper, The Duke is big, full bodied and dense with chewy tannins. Suggested pairing - Duke Ellington, "Ellington at Newport" 151 cases produced

POVERTY BAY FESTIVAL - FEB. 28 & MARCH 1

Even though the weather seems to want to hang on to its winter ways this is the South ends welcome spring event! 21 wineries, bites from several local food vendors - Benson's Best Bites, Butler Bar & Grill, Panera Bread, Salty's & Farleys Coffee - even live entertainment to tap your toes to.

Ticket includes twice as many tokens this year - 10 instead of 5! Free parking at the South End of the Marina with free shuttle service right to the front door of Landmark on the Sound!

If you need a reason to bring out your dress TOGA then you should attend the GALA OF THE GODS on Friday the 27th. $75.00 ticket price includes a super hors d'oeuvers and dessert bar by Anthony's Home Port, free Valet parking, music by Takis Dotis and the Mad Greeks, and belly dancers. Plus you can attend the festival either Saturday or Sunday.


NO FRIDAY NIGHT TASTING THIS WEEK

We will be attending the Gala of the Gods Friday night so our tasting will be cancelled. Must have time to get the fancy clothes on.
