Impuls 2009 Chardonnay - $10.99 - Columbia Valley, Washington - 100% Chardonnay - 75% Stainless Steel | 25% Neutral Oak -- At last, a Chardonnay to please every palate! Ripe pear and faint green apple notes abound in the fresh bouquet. Plenty of luscious fruit in the mid-palate, a touch of neutral oak, and a bit of minerality leave a well-balanced finish. Perfectly suited to enjoying by the glass as well as a wonderful accompaniment to Northwest seafood dishes and medium-bodied cheeses.

Impuls 71, Lot 1 - $11.99 - Columbia Valley, Washington - 71% Syrah, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon This red blend is designed to stand alone and also accompanies many food styles. Hints of cherries and red berries greet the nose and follow-up in this bright, fruit-forward, medium-bodied red blend. The Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon complement each other and provide plenty of structure and depth while being rich and approachable. The finish is mellow with round, well-integrated tannins.

2008 Smasne Rosella ROSÉ $17.99 Rosella is a wonderful summertime gem that focuses on the pure expression of fruit, capturing its brilliant beauty within the glass. Loaded with ripe cherry, raspberry and strawberry flavors, and backed by Muscat perfume, this dry Rose explodes on the palate with lush jam, rich texture and lively acidity. A hint of pure fruit sweetness lingers on the finish. “Rosella was originally intended to be a “Family” only wine and was made in very limited quantities, each vintage intended as a gift to be shared with family and friends throughout the summer. However, with a little friendly arm-twisting, I slightly increased the quantities to make it available for others to enjoy as well. Rosella is inspired by the memory of my grandmother, Roselle, who dedicated her life to a career teaching children. We are proud to share this special limited-release wine with you in honor of her life and the lessons her life taught us all. Each vintage, our family will donate the proceeds of the sale of Rosella to support the youth of the Pacific Northwest and the Lower Valley Hospice. Echo and I, and our children Kaitlin, Bailey, Blake, and Konner Ray, thank you for supporting our efforts. With your help, we can make a difference in the quality of life for those who need it most. We invite you to share in our family’s passion for wine and our dedication to the overall enhancement of the wine experience through wine, food, friends and charity.” -Robert O

2008 Plumb ESTATE SANGIOVESE (Garvey Arthur Vineyard) $14.99 Aromatically the wine has a wonderful mulled cranberry character intertwined with forest berries, in particular those yummy little wild strawberries that pack such a punch. On the palate the wine is surprisingly soft and supple with a glossy entry followed by round firm tannins that supports all those spicy forest fruits as they glide across the palate to a snappy, palate-coating berry and herb-tinged finish. There’s also a hint of minerality and a touch of sweet tobacco leaf that adds complexity and definition to the finished wine.

And a little dessert.........

2008 Upland Estates ‘Ampeli’ Muscat Ice $28.99 This special wine is the result of patience and dedication and it is a true honor of ours to create a wine from a vine planted in 1917. Frozen on the vine, this wine was carefully fermented in stainless steel barrels over a period of 3 months, capturing the pure varietal flavors of Muscat. Aromatically expressive, clean, viscous, creamy, and loaded with flavor like honey lime drops yet its sweetness is balanced, elegant, and rewardingly matched with brilliant acidity. Planted in 1917 by Washington wine pioneer W. B. Bridgman, they are the oldest cultivated wine grapes in the state. The front label of the bottle pays tribute to this by depicting an original vine from the same block. 44 Brix at harvest – 24.7 Residual Sugar. 90 cases produced. 2010 SEATTLE WINE AWARDS: GOLD !!! All notes on wines taken from Small Lots.
